Single Fathers and Minimum Effort

I feel as though my situation is unique considering my wife attempted suicide and left us both, and I had to file to protect my daughter. Some content was disheartening, particularly the TedX video saying that single fathers can do the lowest minimum effort and be praised. I found this portion of the video slightly offensive as I put 110% effort into being the best father I can be for my daughter.
