What is Mindfulness Meditation?
Mindful meditation is one of the classically identified forms of mindfulness training that can contribute to your personal growth and development. Mindful meditation uses any object of attention, be it the breath, a physical sensation, a feeling, an image, or external object. You simply take some time out of your day to spend quietly focusing on an object which most often is your breath. This practice has been shown to increase the capacity for non judgemental awareness, focused attention, and flexibility – all extremely valuable qualities for Anger Management. It is in theory a very simple practice. However, it is not a practice that is easy for most modern people because it rubs against the grain of our very busy mind-wandering habits.
