3 Basic Ways of Dealing with Anger
There are three main methods of dealing with anger:
- Stuffing– You frequently swallow your anger or simply don’t allow yourself to experience anger. The problem with this is that the anger may build towards resentment or explosion.
- Escalating– you let your anger out, not holding anything in. You dump your feelings on whoever is around you at the moment. The problem with this is those who are around you must deal with the residual effects of your anger.
- Managing– you express your anger in a socially appropriate and healthy way. This is what this workbook is all about.
